The CG-LOK Tank Unit Dry Disconnect Coupling is the fixed half of a dry break connection, mounted permanently on the tank, vessel or pipework. It holds an internal valve that stays closed until a CG-LOK hose unit is locked on and turned to open, and closes again before the units separate. The female threaded version screws directly into BSPP or NPT tank connections and process piping, which makes retrofitting to existing vessels straightforward.
Key Features
• Tank side (TU) unit that mounts permanently on the vessel, tank or pipework
• Internal valve stays closed until a hose unit is locked on and opened, and closes before separation
• Female thread connection in BSPP ISO 228 or NPT, sizes 1″, 2″, 2½”, 3″, 4″, 6″ and 8″
• Built to NATO STANAG 3756 for compatibility with most established dry disconnect brands
• Stainless steel 1.4408, aluminium or brass bodies, ATEX and PED certified
Specifications

• Test pressure: 37.5 bar stainless steel, 24 bar brass, 15 bar aluminium
• O-ring seals: FPM rated -35°C to +140°C on stainless steel, NBR rated -30°C to +100°C on aluminium
• Flat seal: PTFE rated -25°C to +250°C
• Sizes: 1″, 2″, 2½”, 3″, 4″, 6″ and 8″
• Certification: ATEX, PED 2014/68/EU, and 3.1 material certificate available
How It Works
Operation is a two stage turn that keeps the valves shut until the connection is secure. Turning the hose unit 15 degrees clockwise locks the two units together while both valves stay closed. Turning a further 90 degrees opens the internal valves and allows flow. Reversing the sequence closes the valves before the units separate, so product is contained on both sides at the moment of disconnection.
Applications
Storage tank and vessel outlets, road tanker and rail car connections, IBC and reactor charging points, and process piping tie-ins at chemical plants, oleochemical facilities and terminals across Pasir Gudang, Port Klang, Gebeng, Kerteh, Kuantan and East Malaysia.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to order hose units and tank units together?
Yes, a working dry disconnect connection needs one of each. The tank unit is fixed to the vessel and the hose unit is fitted to the hose or loading arm. Flytech can supply matched pairs so sizes and materials line up correctly.
Does the tank unit stay sealed when nothing is connected?
Yes. The internal valve remains closed whenever a hose unit is not locked on and opened, so the tank connection stays contained.
What temperature range do the seals cover?
FPM O-rings on stainless steel units cover -35°C to +140°C, NBR on aluminium units covers -30°C to +100°C, and the PTFE flat seal covers -25°C to +250°C.
