Polyethylene (PE) Pneumatic Tubing

Economical polyethylene pneumatic tubing for fixed compressed air, water and instrument runs. Chemical resistant with low moisture absorption.

Flytech supplies polyethylene pneumatic tubing for fixed compressed air, water and instrument runs. PE is the economical option in the pneumatic range, stiffer than polyurethane so it holds its line neatly along a frame or wall, and priced for installations that run long lengths where the cost per metre matters.

It resists a wide range of chemicals and absorbs very little moisture, so it holds its dimensions and does not soften in humid conditions. For fixed pneumatic runs, instrument air distribution and general water lines it does the job at lower cost than PU or nylon.

Key Features
• The economical choice in the pneumatic tubing range for long fixed runs
• Stiffer than polyurethane, so it holds a neat line along frames and walls
• Good chemical resistance across a wide range of media
• Low moisture absorption, holding dimensions in humid conditions
• Cuts cleanly for push in fittings and takes standard pneumatic connectors

Specifications
• Material: polyethylene, LDPE or HDPE depending on the duty
• Typical working pressure: around 10 bar at 20°C, falling as temperature rises
• Typical temperature range: approximately -40°C to +60°C
• Outside diameter: common pneumatic sizes from 4mm to 16mm
• Supplied in coils, cut to length on request

Applications
Fixed compressed air distribution, instrument air runs, water and dosing lines, and general pneumatic circuits at factories, workshops and process plants across the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor, Perak and Malaysia wide.

Why Choose Flytech
Flytech Engineering has supplied industrial fluid transfer products in Malaysia since 1999, under ISO 9001:2015. Alongside tubing we stock instrumentation tube fittings, tube to tube fittings, valves and clamps, plus hose, stainless steel braided assemblies and couplings, so one order covers the tube and everything that terminates it. Ready stock in Klang, Selangor, with delivery nationwide including Kerteh, Kemaman, Gebeng, Pasir Gudang, Penang, Bintulu and Labuan, plus worldwide export. Frequently Asked Questions
Is polyethylene tubing suitable for moving applications?
Not for repeated flexing. PE is stiffer than polyurethane and will fatigue where the tube bends constantly, such as on robot arms or in cable chains. Use polyurethane for moving applications and keep PE for fixed runs.

Can polyethylene tubing carry water?
Yes, PE is widely used for water and dosing lines. Confirm the grade and any potable water certification you require when ordering.

How does PE compare on price?
Polyethylene is the most economical of the three common pneumatic tubes, which is why it is specified for long fixed runs where the cost per metre adds up. Polyurethane costs more for its flexibility, and nylon more again for its pressure and temperature capability.
