The Data Centre Cooling Hose is a stainless steel braided assembly built for the way cooling systems are actually connected. One end carries an ANSI 150 or PN16 flange that bolts into the chilled water pipework. The other carries a sanitary clamp connection at the equipment, so a coolant distribution unit or rack manifold can be disconnected in seconds without breaking a bolted joint or handling gaskets beside live IT equipment.
The corrugated SS304 or SS316 core with stainless braid absorbs pump vibration and thermal movement while containing the pressure. Unlike rubber hose, stainless does not perish, permeate or age, so it does not carry a replacement schedule in a facility built never to stop. It also handles treated water and glycol chemistry without degrading.
Every assembly is fabricated to order. Give Flytech the flange standard, the clamp size, the length and the working conditions, and the assembly is built, hydrostatically tested and delivered with an official test certificate for commissioning records.
Key Features
•Mixed end assembly: ANSI 150 or PN16 flange one end, sanitary clamp the other
•Corrugated SS304 or SS316 core with stainless steel braid reinforcement
•Sanitary clamp end disconnects in seconds without tools or gasket handling
•Absorbs pump vibration and thermal movement in chilled water and liquid cooling loops
•Does not perish, permeate or age the way rubber hose does, so no replacement schedule
•Hydrostatically tested with official certificate for commissioning documentation
•Fabricated to order in length, size and end configuration
Specifications
•Core: corrugated SS304 or SS316 with stainless steel braid
•Pipework end: ANSI B16.5 Class 150 or PN16 flanges
•Equipment end: sanitary clamp connection, size and standard to suit the unit
•Media: treated chilled water and glycol mixtures
•Testing: hydrostatic test with official certificate available
•Length and size: fabricated to order
Applications
Coolant distribution unit connections, rack manifold and liquid cooling loop tie-ins, chilled water pump connections, and CRAH and CRAC unit connections in data centre facilities across Johor, Sedenak, Kulai, Iskandar Puteri, Cyberjaya, Bukit Jalil and the Klang Valley.
Why Choose Flytech
Flytech Engineering has fabricated stainless steel hose assemblies in Malaysia since 1999, under ISO 9001:2015. Mixed end assemblies are a fabrication job rather than a stock item, and our Klang workshop builds, TIG welds and hydrostatically tests to your specification, with an official test certificate issued for commissioning records. We work from drawings and specifications, hold core stock for fast response, and accept urgent orders during fit out and commissioning. Call +603-3373 2228 or WhatsApp +6011-1663 3386.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does a data centre cooling hose have two different end connections?
The two ends do different jobs. The flanged end bolts permanently into the chilled water pipework. The sanitary clamp end sits at the equipment, where the connection has to be broken and remade for servicing, and a clamp does that in seconds without tools or gasket handling beside live IT equipment.
Should the flange be ANSI 150 or PN16?
It depends on the mating equipment and the consultant specification. ANSI B16.5 Class 150 is common where chillers and pumps are American specification, and PN16 to EN 1092-1 where the build follows European or British practice. Chilled water is a low pressure system, so both are adequate and the choice is about matching the flange, not the pressure. Flytech supplies either.
Why stainless steel rather than rubber hose?
Rubber perishes and ages, so it carries a replacement schedule, and replacement means downtime in a facility designed never to stop. Stainless steel corrugated hose does not permeate or degrade with age, handles treated water and glycol, and is built to last the life of the plant.
Can Flytech build to our specification?
Yes. Give us the flange standard, clamp size, assembly length and working conditions, and the assembly is fabricated, hydrostatically tested and delivered with an official test certificate for commissioning records.
